Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in drug and alcohol treatment. She is an empathetic listener whose style of therapy is focused on being open and frank with a realistic approach. Her goal is to help people feel competent and positive about their lives; or make realistic changes to get to where they wish to be.

With over 30 years of experience, Christine specializes in dual diagnosis patients with mental health and substance abuse issues. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy as way to look at the patient as a whole and decide what needs to be fixed. She conducts assessments to evaluate patient needs; and will determine what types of services are required to help an individual to feel better.

Christine helps individuals, who have been raised in difficult families of origin. Additionally, she can help those who need to change life patterns which might include use of substances; dealing with grief and loss issues, changing a history of poor relationships and trauma; improving communication skills or increasing self-esteem.

Education:

Christine has her Master’s degree in Social Work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was trained initially through DePaul Hospital in substance abuse services; Southeastern Medical and the VA for mental health needs. Christine has been an EAP provider for many companies and had been both an administrator and provider for those companies. She provided EAP training sessions for employees; critical incident debriefing sessions; and EAP assessments. Furthermore, she taught addiction and treatment classes for five years at Mount Mary College.

Christine belongs to NASW (National Association of Social Worker), WI Council on Problem Gambling, and she is an EAP (Employee Assistance Professional) acting as a provider for many companies; and is a Clinical Supervisor in the field of AODA services.
