Melissa believes that a person is more than what brings them into therapy. An individual has various interests, needs, intersecting identities, early experiences, and goals. Therefore, Melissa values the therapeutic relationship, establishing a relationship built in collaboration and trust, so that the client has a safe space to explore their narratives, their values, and wellness. Melissa mainly pulls from humanistic and cognitive behavioral approaches, offering a space of nonjudgment as one examines thoughts, behaviors, and feelings; however, Melissa aims to meet the client where they are at in their wellness journey. Melissa looks forward to meeting and working with you!

Education:

Melissa received her master’s in professional counseling with concentrations in clinical mental health counseling and clinical rehabilitation counseling from Mount Mary University. In addition, Melissa received a certificate of completion in trauma counseling. Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
